Service Information flows to grassroots through Information Dissemination Workshop at Union and Upazila level organized by CIPD

10 December 2011: As part of project activities (CE&ED) CIPD has recently completed Union level Information Dissemination Workshop at five Union namely Jibtali (4 August), Kutukchari Union (11 August), Bandukvanga (18 August), Sapchari (8 September), Upazila (20 September), Balukhali (15 November). Union Parishad Chairman of respective Union presided over the workshop. PDC and PNDG executives, UP Members, Karbaries, Headman of the union were the participants in the workshop. The Upazila Officers of the different Line Departments of GoB disseminated the service information of respective department to participants. The line departments that delivered service information in the workshops were- Agriculture, Fisheries, Livestock, Social Service, Department of Public Health Engineering (DPHE), Cooperatives and Youth Developments. The prime objective of the workshop is to deliver GoB service information to target people in order to facilitate development process at grassroots level. This annual regular program of CIPD has been continuing since 2008.

Upazila level workshop was held at Upazila Hall in Rangamati Sadar Upazila 20 September 2001 where Upazila Chairman of Rangamati Sadar Md. Musa and UNO Mr. Nazia Shirin participated along with other Upazila government officials.

GoB officials and villagers thanked CIPD and UNDP for organizing this type of innovative activities for empowering community at grassroots.
