Objectives:

·To generate Awareness, Confidence Building and the Spirit of Self-reliance among the communities;

·To facilitate Local Institution Building & Strengthening;

·To facilitate Small Project Development and Implementation;

·To facilitate and assist to in Dispute Management and Resolution through Non-violent Methods;

·To ensure Ownership of development projects by local communities and institutions;

·To empower the communities in Availing of the Opportunities for their development.

·To create equal access for women in the overall development process;

·To build capacity of women so that they are in control of their own development opportunities and lives.

 

Activities:

  • Formation of Para Development Committee (PDC) as CBO,
  • Formation of Para Nari Development Group (PNDG) as Women CBO,
  • Run monthly Saving Scheme to establish Self – reliant Community Fund,
  • Formation of Union Facilitation Committee (UnFC) as union level stake holder committee,
  • Formation of Upazila Support Team(UzST) as union level technical stake holder committee,
  • Formation of Upazila Advisory Committee.(UzAC) as stake holder committee
  • Formulation of Para Development Plan (Short Term and Long Term),
  • Implementation of Community Based Small Scale IGA Project on livestock, horticulture, fishery, cash crop production etc.
  • Awareness raising training, workshop and national and international Day observation,
  • Exchange visit programme within and outside Chittagong Hill Tracts.
  • Conduct Information Dissemination workshop at Union and Upazila level,
  • Provide Technical Training on Livestock, Horticulture, Fishery, Agriculture Mushroom Cultivation, Honey Bee keeping, and Entrepreneurship Development etc.
  • Establishment of Community Rice Bank under food security items,
  • Establishment andrun Farmer Field School(FFS).
